The Cyprus Red Cross Society (CRCS) is the largest humanitarian non-governmental organisation in Cyprus, working to prevent and alleviate human suffering, protect life and health, and uphold human dignity without discrimination. Guided by the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, CRCS combines strong local presence with international credibility.
With nationwide headquarters and local branches, the CRCS mobilises over 1,500 trained volunteers, supported by specialised staff and robust governance structures ensuring accountability and transparency. As a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, it serves as an auxiliary to public authorities while remaining independent.
The CRCS operates across emergency response, health and social care, psychosocial support, First Aid, youth engagement, and social inclusion. Its flagship Stella Soulioti Children’s Therapy Centre provides multidisciplinary care for children with severe disabilities. CRCS also supports migrants, asylum seekers, and vulnerable communities, while contributing to international humanitarian action through coordinated relief, recovery, and resilience efforts.

Social support for refugees and asylum seekers focuses on promoting social inclusion and integration for people with or seeking international protection. Activities centre on community engagement, social interaction, and building meaningful connections with the local population to foster participation and mutual understanding. Alongside these efforts, targeted humanitarian assistance is provided through the distribution of essential aid in migrant Centres, addressing immediate needs while supporting dignity, protection, and inclusion.
