The ESA25 Policy Recommendations are out!
Pablo Alás Tomás and Lucía López Andrades, Master's students at UOC, represented OpenEU at the European Student Assembly 2025, held last May 2025 at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

Alongside 230 students from 190 universities — and nearly 40 European University Alliances — they addressed some of Europe’s most pressing challenges: from sustainability and AI to mental health and social inclusion.
After months of collaborative work, their proposals were debated and voted on. Today, we celebrate the publication of 74 bold and forward-looking policy recommendations.
"What we experienced in Strasbourg was much more than an academic gathering. It was a transformative journey into democratic participation, cultural diversity and civic commitment," say Pablo and Lucía.
They encourage all students to take part in opportunities like this one. Being part of the OpenEU alliance opens the door to initiatives that foster leadership, critical thinking, and a commitment to a fairer and more inclusive Europe.
