OpenEU Launches First Joint Bachelor Degree in Software Development and Testing
OpenEU has achieved a major milestone in international higher education with the launch of its first joint Bachelor’s degree. On January 17, Àngels Fitó (Rector of UOC), Theo Bastiaens (Rector of OUNL) and Ricardo Mairal (Rector of UNED), officially signed the agreement to launch this programme that marks a pivotal step in fostering global academic partnerships and enhancing educational opportunities across borders.
The joint Bachelor’s degree in Software Development and Testing (180 ECTS, QCF Level 6) is the result of a successful collaboration between OpenEU beneficiaries UOC, OUNL, and UNED. This program reflects a commitment to providing high-quality, internationally recognized education that addresses the evolving needs of a diverse global student community. The first cohort of students is set to begin in February 2026.
Through this initiative, OpenEU underscores its commitment to enriching international and transnational learning experiences, paving the way for innovative joint degrees that meet the aspirations of a global student body.
