OpenEU will be participating in the Education at a Distance and Pedagogical Innovation: Challenges and Future Paths conference, hosted by Universidade Aberta in Lisbon. This event serves as a key platform for discussing the evolving landscape of distance education and pedagogical innovation in higher education.

The event, which will be held on March 17 and is organized within the framework of the INOV3P consortium's Center of Excellence and Pedagogical Innovation, aims to serve as a key platform for discussing the challenges and opportunities of distance education and pedagogical innovation in higher education.

OpenEU Alliance Coordinator Pastora Martínez Samper will present the initiative during the OpenEU – European Open University Education session at 16:45. This session will showcase OpenEU’s contributions to advancing online and distance education in Europe, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and equity in higher education.

Besides, the program features a variety of keynote speeches and roundtable discussions with renowned experts. Among the key participants are Fernando Alexandre (Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation), Carla Padrel de Oliveira (Rector of Universidade Aberta), João Pinto Guerreiro (President of Agency of Assessment ad Acreditation of Higher Education - A3ES) and Patricia Rosado Pinto (President of the National Council of pedagogical Innovation in Higher Education - CNIPES). 

With Universidade Aberta as host, the INOV3P conference will also provide a platform for discussions on AI’s impact on education, innovative pedagogical models, and teacher training, featuring experts from across the European higher education landscape.
